Chamber Choir
The NWVA Chamber Choir, a 24-voice professional ensemble to be made up of 16 of the region’s finest vocal artists and eight high-school choral apprentices.
Though our Chamber Choir is complete for the 2024-25 season, if you are interested in singing with us in the future please fill out the form below and we will reach out to you when auditions are open!
Singers interested in joining this select choral ensemble should be prepared to sing an art song or aria, complete a tonal memory assessment, and successfully sight-read from a choral excerpt, both individually and in a quartet. Larger, operatic voices are still encouraged to audition and will be considered assuming singers can demonstrate the ability to blend when required.
Professional singers will be paid a competitive hourly rate. Rehearsals will take place on Monday nights and will be consolidated into 4, 3-hour rehearsals leading up to the concerts. Our first season will be abbreviated and will consist of our holiday concert Voices of Winter - on Dec. 22 and our winter concert Cordillera: Range of the Americas in March 2025.
In our second season we will present 4 concerts (Fall, Holiday, Winter, Spring). Preference will be given to singers that can commit to a full season with a promised raise in the second season. Our eight choral apprentices will be on full scholarship to sing as section leaders in the Youth Choir and will receive a quarterly stipend for their work in the Chamber Choir.
